HOME LODGE NEWS There’s good news, and then there is more good news, so lets start off with some good news! A hearty Home Lodge Happy Birthday Wish to our very own Senior Steward, Bro. Seymour Borenstein, whose 80th birthday we celebrated at our April Stated Meeting--mazel tov on reaching this Biblical milestone. And even better than birthday wishes, are the congratulations we give when a future Mason comes in to this world. Let’s all welcome Grant Donovan Slatoff, grandson of Bro. Bill Frankenstein, who rolled out on March 27, weighing a whopping 10 lbs, 5 oz, and 22 inches long--a future fullback! Grant is the son of Bill’s daughter Carrie and her husband Matt Slatoff. Of course, before the baby comes the wedding, so it’s just as wonderful to give congratulations to our Treasurer, Bro. Bill Rosenthal and his lovely bride Sharon, as their beautiful daughter Pamela has just become engaged to the handsome Tony Andrews. There’s more kinds of nachus that comes from daughter’s than grandchildren, and that can be seen by the beam on Wor. Ralph Dash and his wife Loretta’s faces, as they get ready to attend the graduation of their daughter Hallie, who is receiving her RN degree in June, and who has already been hired by UCLA to work in the neuro-trauma ICU unit of the new hospital that is set to open in May. Finally, there is the pleasure of travel, and we understand that our Marshal, Bro. Barney Kort, accompanied by the lovely Jeannie, will be vacationing in Ireland in May. They will visit Killarney and Dublin, then will fly to London to embark on a six day Atlantic crossing to New York aboard the Queen Mary 2. Bon Voyage! Bro. Irving and Phyllis Sarto will celebrate 57 years of wedded bliss on May 6th. Bro. Leonard and Roni Barend will celebrate 44 years of wedded bliss on May 9th.. Wor. Ralph and Loretta Dash will celebrate 32 years of wedded bliss on May 16th. WE WISH A SPEEDY RECOVERY The Home Lodge Family wishes a speedy recovery to: Wor. Robert T. Gilmore Jr P.M. recuperating at home from broken ribs; Bro Joe Goldwine recovering at home from back surgery; Wor. Raymond B. Rosenbaum P.M. recovering nicely from broken ribs; Blood Chairman, Bro. Irving J. Sarto is still gathering strength at home; and Mrs. Rosely who is home recovering from a stroke.
