Subject: Masonic Library Book Surplus
This is one of the main reasons for the existence of the MLMA - Masonic Library & Museum Association. MLMA is an organization open for membership by anyone who "expresses an interest in Masonic libraries or museums."
Among our activities is a trading program among our members, who range from those who watch over lodge libraries with a few volumes, or who own a few Masonic books in their home, to those who are responsible for Masonic libraries in Iowa (the largest in the world), Boston, New York, Philadelphia, the Scottish Rite Supreme Councils, and the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.
We have a website at http://bessel.org/mlma.htm and just recently have started publishing lists of books that each of us has available for trade, sale to other Masonic libraries or Masons, or to give away. This helps everyone by keeping Masonic books within the Masonic family, while spreading more Masonic knowledge among as many Brethren as possible.
Anyone who wishes to participate in the MLMA - Masonic Library & Museum Association's book exchange/trade/sale/giveaway program, or to consider becoming a member of MLMA (dues are as low as $15), is welcome to view the information on our website or contact me directly.
Fraternally,
Paul M. Bessel President, MLMA - Masonic Library & Museum Association
