Lodge No. 341 Third Degree Conferral
The Free and Accepted Masons of California continue its mission to give and spread the essence and meaningful context of Masonry. A candidate accepted to received the degrees when found to be of good moral character are brought into a Masonic formation where teachings and philosophy of life were thought during the conferrals. In November 28, 2007 the Officers composing mostly of Past Masters from Oxnard Lodge No. 341, gladly conducted and conferred Master Mason to Gerald E. Zerphey, Jr. Joining this evening event were Brethren from Anacapa Lodge No. 710, headed by WB Bobbie E. Worford. Photo above shows the Master of the Lodge of 341 for the year 2007, Steve Bestwick, which on the left of Bro. Zerphey.
Memorial Day Observance, May 28, 2007 316th Masonic District represented by Anacapa Lodge 710, Channel Island 214 and Oxnard Lodge 341, participated in the wreath laying ceremony honoring fallen heroes on memorial day May 28, 2007, at Ivy Lawn, Ventura, California. Among the brothers identified here are Brothers Arnie Briones and wife Josie, Roman RF Ladaw (SW) of Anacapa; Steve Biswick, WM Oxnard, and WB David VadBunker, SR. of Channel Island Lodge 214.
The Cornerstone- Laying Ceremony For centuries the Order of Free and Accepted Masons has been the layer of cornerstones, honoring the great works of architects and craftsmen, as well as the buildings which house those persons who work for the betterment of humanity.The Masonic Order is the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world. Many of our nation's leaders are Freemasons. Fourteen Presidents of the United States have been Freemasons, but only George Washington was both President and Master of his Masonic Lodge at the same time. On September 19, 1793, George Washington, acting as Grand Master pro term of the Grand Lodge of Maryland, laid the cornerstone for the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.The Charter Oak Unified School District is proud to welcome Mr. Frederick Louis Sorsabal, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of California here today to perform the cornerstone ceremony continuing a tradition that can be traced back thousands of years.
