On April 29, 2008 Mr. Nelson Young has been accepted into brotherhood.   After declaring upon his honor, unbiased by friends and uninfluenced by mercenary motives,  freely and voluntarily offered himself as a candidate for the mysteries of Masonry.  Knocking at the door from the outside,  he entered the lodge room and begin his journey on the first facet in Masonry.  Although  it might be too much to discern the evolution he undergone,  it will soon come to an end where he realized that the lights of  Masonry has its meaning. The Officers and Brethren of Anacapa Lodge 710,  welcome and offered our Congratulations to Brother Nelson Young!

The cold weather was not a deterrent for Anacapa Lodge when to confer the 1st degree to Jimmy D. Telan,  The conferral which was April 01, 2008, was  real one not an April fool.  Brethren of Anacapa combined with Brothers from other Lodges composed  the sideline and served as the welcoming group to our brother in his first step in Masonry..  It is noticeable that Brother Rizalito Castillejo volunteered as Junior Steward.  His interest to learn a part of this ritual is inspiring to others.  As always the mysteries of Masonry is a continuing education and has no end...

As I approach  the entrance to the Masonic Center Building, I was greeted by group of men and a woman and a girl which seems to be in their midst of a happy conversation.  I  greeted them in a warm way as just like having been my long acquaintance, I  jokingly remark that " the lodge is inside.".  These are friends and wife and daughter of one of the candidates.  Today, March 18, 2008,  marked another event in the book of Anacapa Lodge No. 710.  Two candidates at their  own free will and accord  undergone the initiation..  Our Brethren, the Officers and Past Masters responded to their wishes and become our Brother.  They are Michael Johnson and Mario Molina.  They experienced this part where Masonry was opened in their eyes and mind,  an education where encompass knowledge begin..  The Walk-About are enlightening to everybody.  The Officers who stand and guide them in their first steps in Masonry has been introduced.  Their parts were summarized,   Our gratitude goes to Brother Jesus Escamilla who come forward to do the job of the Walk-about - good show Brother Jess!!

These Brothers are Raymond C. Santos and Rizalito E. He then become Brother John Hejduck and with all brothers in attendance clap their hands after the ceremony when he was told by the Master go and sit among the brothers.  The ceremony winded at the dinning hall with a refreshment.   As always, the Officers appreciate and say thank you to all Past Masters  who participated in the success of the conferral.
