From the South

 Brethren:

First and foremost, I would like to thank all the brethren who attended our first Family Dinner and Stated meeting. We had a good number of brethren who attended last month’s dinner and meeting; thank you again. This February 14, 2012 will be our second Family Dinner and Stated Meeting for year 2012; It is also the Widow Outreach Program. The Lodge is inviting Anacapa Lodge’s widows for free dinner and recognition. Come on over and let us show our support and care.

The menus for our Family Dinner/Stated Meeting will be:

Prime Rib Au Jus

Wild Rice

Steamed Veggies

Dinner Rolls and Desserts

The price will be $12.00

I would like to ask any volunteer who can help in the kitchen.  We all know gathering together is an all important aspect of a lodge. It is not only that our coming together is to raise money for the lodge, but that we are coming together and with each function we become closer as friends and brothers. Sure we need to raise funds for the lodge, but that does not mean it can’t be a great time, as well.

I hope that we find within ourselves a renewed energy to come together and join in the festivities that we are planning this coming year. Let us make a resolution to make an effort to attend one or more stated meetings and maybe one or more events this year than we did last year. Busy or not, when we sit down with one another we remember the camaraderie and brotherhood of Masonry. We learn from one another. ..we grow from one another. Steel Sharpens Steel.

Sincerely,

Vinz Tolentino

Junior Warden
