O
Anacapa Masonic Lodge No. 710 FROM THE EAST
From the East May is with us and the lodge schedule is busy, this month we are looking at a 3rd degree practice on the 6th. This will be comprised of Past Masters, in preparation for the 3rd degree conferral on the 20th, which will be a Past Masters night. Although this is a Past Masters night, I would like to invite all the Brethren to come and share their time with us in raising a brother. On our stated meeting night, we will honor WB Bobbie Worford on his 50th anniversary as a Mason. A faithful brother for 50 years, Worshipful Worford has been supporting our Lodge for so many years now that he truly is a pillar at Anacapa Lodge No. 710. He has been our Officers Coach for a while now and never getting tired. He is always with us in the Lodge, always willing to share his time and talent for the craft. So on the 13th after dinner, we will proceed to the Lodge room and do the presentations. Please come , have dinner with us and attend the ceremonies so we can show our love to Worshipful Bobbie Worford. This month we also celebrate Memorial Day, which will be on the 26th. Last year Brother Arnie Briones and I together with brethren from other Lodges attended the ceremonies at the Ivy Lawn Memorial in Masonic regalia to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. i would like to invite the Brethren to join me again this year in the ceremonies. Congratulations to Brothers Jimmy Telan and Nelson Young on their initiation as Entered apprentice Mason. This Month we will have the Officers School of Instruction on the 14th and it will be hosted by Oxnard Lodge 341, all Master Masons are invited to this OSI. My appreciation extends to all the Brothers who helped make the Public School Observance Night a success. We had overwhelming response from the Port Hueneme and Oxnard School Districts which shows the positive impact Freemasonry is doing to the community particularly the Masons of Anacapa Lodge No. 710. Again my Brothers thank you. I would like to remind our Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts that if you are ready to give the proficiency, kindly notify Brother Senior Warden or any of the Officers so that we can put you on schedule. I guess I held the secret long enough that I think it is time for me to share it with you all. If you are wondering who made our new light stand in the Lodge room, i.e. 3 lights, this was handcrafted by Brother Jessie Escamilla who volunteered to provide us with all the resources, thank you brother. Upon the Square, Roman RF Ladaw
