Masonic philanthropy: Over 3 ½ million Masons from around the United States and our community contribute over $500 million each and every year towards philanthropic activities. We finance medical research into child language disorders, and diseases of the eye. We provide college scholarships for needy students. We maintain homes for the aged, and for children without families. Shriners support and operate twenty-three hospitals around the country for crippled and burned children.
