California Rainbow for Girls held their Grand Assembly in
Fresno from 3/14 to 3/18 and Infinity Assembly had a very exciting time.
Connie Lindsey, retiring Gr. Rep. to Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri did a
beautiful job on her speech explaining what her grand year had been like.
As for the remainder of the Grand Assembly they managed to
win their share of honors. Their Worthy Advisor, Monica Linzmeier took
the top award in her age group for sewing, Chelsea Goossens, Past Worthy
Advisor, won Sweepstakes in the Ritual Competition. Which means her Ritual
Work was better than any of the other girls that competed. Infinity
Assembly and Serenity Assembly, the two Assemblies that comprise our
District, won the Volleyball game against Northern California. Another
honor was to have two girls chosen to perform in the Grand Choir, Monica
Linzmeier and Alexa Stephenson. Madelaine Parker was appointed a member
of the Service Court, only 3 girls each year are appointed.
Our Assembly was chosen as an AWESOME ASSEMBLY because
they performed at 100% all year. Our Grand Deputy, Mrs. Marga Dole, is
retiring and Mrs. Dee Keck, a former Mother Advisor of our Assembly will
be the new Grand Deputy for our District which includes Infinity and
Serenity Assemblies.
The biggest honor of all was the appointment of Chelsea
Goossens to be the Dean of the Grand Cross of Color and to be a member of
the Grand Executive Assembly for 2009. Their mascot is a bald eagle and
they are known as the “Epic Eagles of 2009”. Our Homecoming is Wednesday
4/2/2008, at 7 P.M. and all Master Masons are cordially invited to
participate in the fun and frolic.
