information available. 1 THE BEGININGS OF FREEMASONRY IN AMERICA (JOHNSON) M10 1 Touted as Containing a reference to all that is know of Freemasonry In the Western Hemisphere prior to 1750, and short sketches of the lives of some of the Provincial Grand Masters. Extensive credit is given to Henry Price as the Founder of Freemasonry in America. [See Chapter five]. [Printed in 1916 and in poor condition - Library only]
BLACK SQUARE AND COMPASS (WALKES) M90 1 The only book I have read on this subject. It is well worth the read, if for no other reason than the historical aspects of this group of Freemasons.

BORN IN BLOOD (ROBINSON) M10 3 Believed to be by many Masons the book on the origins of Freemasonry. An absolute must for all Masons. This book was written by a man who was not a Mason. However, he was later made one on his death bed by the Grand Master of Ohio Masons.
BROTHER TRUMAN (ROBERTS) M10 1 Brother Truman, Grand Master of Missouri Masons, soldier, President of the United States of America, a man with a philosophy anyone can emulate. He was a man who loved his family, his country. Politics per se do not enter into this story. A great read.
THE BROTHERHOOD (KNIGHT) M19 2 If this is not the most virulent, deceitful book about Freemasonry or freemasons then it will be the second. For instance - it claims that Jack the Ripper was a Mason .The Italian section does not show that Lodge P2 was banned by its own Grand Lodge and by other Grand Lodges. Should be read if for no other reason than to learn how far some will go to discredit the Fraternity
THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE ROSEY CROSS (WAITE) M12.09 2 Compared to the Freemasons with whom they are sometimes confused, Rosicrucians seem like explorers at the heart of a mystery. The author makes a case for this order predating Freemasonry.
THE BUILDERS (NEWTON) M10 2 Divided into parts; Prophecy, History Interpretation, with a section added concerning the Fraternity during those dark years from 1914 to 1948 page 289 is a good summation of a Mason. One of the few books sold world wide in many languages.

COLONIAL FREEMASONRY (HAHN) M14 1 Other Masonic Histories have dealt at length with the more famous personalities known to have been Freemasons from the beginnings of the first armed confrontations to the drafting and signing of the Constitution. But there were many more Freemasons who made significant contributions within their hometown or colony that were a part of the whole. How the Lodges in the thirteen Colonies began, as well as those outside the Colonies. A must for anyone desiring to know where it all started, and more importantly the who, and how.

THE COURTS AND FREMASONRY (CERZA) M30 1 Freemasonry has always had, and continues to have, those who would destroy it by using the court system as their weapon. This book covers many cases settled in the “lesser’ courts as well as those that traveled all the way to the Supreme Court.. Anyone, Mason or not, will learn how protected freedoms, such as freedom of assembly, and property rights are upheld while the vow to keep a Brothers secrets as his own, at trial, are not upheld.

THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE CONSTITUTION of THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA (Cato Institute) M14.8 7
DUNGEON, FIRE AND SWORD (ROBINSON) M10 3 The author says, “In prior publications I received a number of letters citing historians who appear to disagree with some point I have made. I can only defend myself by stating that when for example, two European differ with each other, and Arab chroniclers disagree with both of them, I can only ponder awhile then pick the point of view that makes most sense . Ancient chroniclers are hard to draw from because they usually wrote to please a pope, or cater to a king. ”This book makes imminent sense, as does all of his works.
DYNAMIC FREEDOMS (WATTS, Et Al) M10 10 Various compilers have worked on this book, keeping it up to our times. A must read for every Mason. Many Lodges make this book available, through the good offices of the Scottish Rite, free, to all newly raised Master Masons. It is hoped that all will read it.
EMERGENCE OF THE MYSTICAL (CLAUSEN) M10.11 2 The coming transition when science and religion will be melded into an overriding spiritual power.
THE EVOLUTION OF FREEMASONRY (DARRAH), M10 1 The Title page states that this is, “An Authentic Story of Freemasonry.” The Reader will make his own judgment. Published in 1920.
FOREIGN COUNTRIES (CLAUDY) M14 2 One of Claudy’s finest. It is especially good for the young Mason who is trying to “get a handle” on Masonry. It is suggested that you read the last chapter first and then read it again when you come to the end of the book.. Highly Inspirational.
FORMS AND TRADITIONS OF THE SCOTTISH RITE (KLEINKNECHT) M14.6 1

Every Roman Catholic was ordered to assist in the destruction of Freemasonry. If a man was a Mason he must be made to cease to be one - - - failing that he was to be persecuted. This book has the replies to the charges as well as the verbatim Bulls published.

FREEMASONRY IN AMERICAN HISTORY (ROBERTS) M10 3 Whatever faults one may find with this book, separation of Masonry from the general history of the United States will not be one of them. A fascinating book concerning Freemasonry. Classed with “Born in Blood” as one that must be read by Masons.
FREEMASONRY THROUGH SIX CENTURIES (COIL) 2 Vol’s. M03 1 Set of 2 Coil spent 25 years in the writing of these two volumes. HOUSE UNDIVIDED (ROBERTS) M47 1 If this is not the greatest book about Masonry and the Civil War then that book has yet to be written. It should be noted that Masons did their best to avert this terrible conflict, but failing that they tried their best to ease the difficulties and suffering on both sides. The were, after all, Brothers.
HOW DARKNESS FELL (ELLSWORTH) M66 1 Is it possible for the United States to destroy constitutional government and establish a socialist dictatorship? IS IT TRUE WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT FREEMASONRY (DEHOYOS & BRENT) M19 1 What is said by the Antimasonic believers and why it is wrong. Best stated by Cannon R. Lewis (not a Mason) speaking to the General Synod of the Church of England. “I am appalled, I am bound to say, by the unsolicited material that has been sent to me … prior to this debate. What beggars my imagination is the way in which anyone, for whatever sort of malicious, or neurotic or malicious (sic) reason, who writes anything denouncing Freemasonry is assumed by some to be telling the truth. They are not. We have seen it in public life and we have seen it here. The Church should be different . . . .I am ashamed when fellow Christians are so gullible and so uncharitable, and that is putting it charitably.” [This should probably be sent to the Church of England as a reminder of the past that is being repeated by that Church today.]
THE KABBALAH (The Religious Philosophy of the Hebrews (FRANCK) M11 1 In the two thousand years that the Kabbalah has been studied there have been very few books about it which can called readable. This is one of those few. The author is able to bridge the gap between ancient and modern and makes the one comprehensible to the other.
KESSINGER PUBLISHING: - BOOKS M04.1 1
KING SOLOMON’S TEMPLE IN THE MASONIC TRADITION (HORNE) M52 1 If we visualize the Temple as the background to the craft, the author, gives a guided tour of each of its parts, in the course of which he provides answers to the innumerable questions that constantly arise among those who are interested in the field and especially among the Lodge Officers who have the responsibility of mastering the ritual. {One personal note: I now have proof that it is Succoth and Zerredathah, which I knew from my time in Israel but continue to be “corrected”.}
THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR (HOWARTH) M14.5 1 Here is a meticulously researched and completely absorbing history of the Order. The Knights Templar joined together 1n 1118. They became a church within the Church a state within a state. They were bankers, merchants, diplomats and tax gatherers, and though they, as individuals, were poor, the wealth of their Order was legendary. A must read for the Knights of today.

THE LODGE - HOW TO RESPOND TO ANTI-MASONS (RONGSTAD) M19.4 1 It is not our place to hunt down and take on religiosity that dislikes us. However, we should respond when confronted personally. Read this book and Robinson’s, “A Pilgrims Path” for some answers.

THE MASONIC SCHOLAR (A Manual of Masonic Education For Candidates Grand Lodge of California) M03 1
OREGON MENTOR MANUAL M17.978 1
STANDARD MANUAL - OREGON M17.978 1
THE MARK OF THE BEAST (RAVENSCROFT) M19.1 1 The authors lose all credibility as “researchers” when we find on page 81, the following: “Freemasonry became an indispensable key to high office. For instance, every Prime Minister in England , from Walpole in the eighteenth century to Ramsey McDonald in the twentieth century , was Grand Master of the Freemason order. This pattern of power was repeated throughout Europe. The same situation existed in America every President until John F. Kennedy was a Freemason of High Degree.” Utter nonsense. But yet an interesting book if read with tongue in cheek.
THE MASTER’S HANDBOOK - 1966. (BRESLAUER) M00 1 A Synopsis and Analysis of the Master’s Duties with suggestions and Recommendations.

THE MASONIC LETTER G (CASE) M00 1 Defends the use of the letter G as a Masonic Symbol
MASONIC LIFELINE LEADERSHIP (ROBERTS) M03 1 The ritual of the craft is important. Without it there would be no Freemasonry as we know it. The ritual alone, however, is of little value if it remains a monument to stagnation. Armed with goals, plans, and all the other principles of good leadership it can be a potent force for good through out the world. The choice is yours. [Be very careful with this]-DRL MASONIC POST CARDS M06.3 1 (3-ring binder)
MASONIC Service Association M00 1 The Challenges of The Hat and Gavel
MASONIC TRIVIA AND FACTS (ROBERTS) M10 1 A fine book well worth anyone’s time. You will find that whereas some in the Catholic Faith have a problem with Masons - you will find that the Jesuits in a Japanese prison camp with Dutch Masons had no problem accepting the Masons as look-outs while the Jesuits held their secret meetings. To be caught at either meant torture or death if caught. A, what else French Professor, Bernard was a totally nasty piece of work - causing the imprisonment or torture or death (or all three of thousands - Page 132 has the details. NOTE: Though available through this Library; this book is signed by the Author and is the personal property of Mark Pressey PM.
