Three Great Lights Masonic Lodge #651
Menlo Park, California

A Message from the Master

The first quarter of the year has been a very busy one for Three Great Lights. Six First Degrees and two Second Degrees. There has been something on every Wednesday, if it's not a Stated Meeting, Hiram Award, a Fifty Year Golden Veteran Presentation it's been a practice. Add the schools of instruction, the officers have been VERY BUSY. At the March school of instruction our Inspector, Worshipful Doug Clifford, said there was a rumor that we will be part of the Santa Clara Valley Officers Association Next year. Will is is not a rumor. Our AGL said it's a fact and will happen at the close of Grand Lodge. On a real serious note, it's been said for quite a while that Masonry will not die for lack of members but lack of Officers to do the ritual and run the Lodge. Our line is short Stewards. In a progressive line that is the place to start. You start to learn ritual and rod work and as each officer says his part, repeat it in your mind and before you know it you are saying it with him. You would be surprised how much you learn throug osmose.
