Masonic District 917 Strategic Plan

Freemasonry

Freemasonry is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization. It is body of knowledge and a system of ethics based of the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, faith, country, and fraternity.

Mission

The Inspector of Masonic District 917—along with his appointed Officers Coaches—our mission is to represent the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of California in a supportive, dignified, inspiring, and challenging manner, following the California Masonic Code, edicts of the Grand Master, supports the Grand Masters initiatives, and supports Our Grand Lecturer and Division IX programs and projects.

Vision

Masonic District 917 is a venue for continuous improvement of its Lodges, officers, and members: to conduct relevant administrative training sessions and exemplify Masonic rituals per the latest and approved California Cipher—including the California Masonic Code—and its supplement, Monitor and Officers’ Manual, and the teachings of the Grand Lecturer; to qualify officers—administrative and ritual—to higher positions in their Lodges; and ensures the training environment is respectful and allows for flexible schedule to meet the needs of the Lodges in the District.

Masonic District 917 is a place where officers and members of Masonic Lodges conduct excellent EA, FC, and MM degrees—following the ritual set forth in the California Cipher, its supplement, and the Monitor and Officers Manual.  It is a place where visiting Masons—and others—are welcomed with cordial decorum, excellent hospitality, and brotherly love.
