WORDS from the WEST,

Brethren,

Our “coming Home” program went well. We were able to contact quite a few of our Lodge brothers and had a good turnout. It also gave us a chance to assist a few in need and correct address and telephone numbers. The only problem was that we were cramped for time to undertake this project and we will continue to try to contact those we missed.

The next project that the Grand Master wants to do is to send the WWII veterans to Washington DC to visit the WWII War Memorial. For the brothers who are interested please contact me for the details.
We played the DVD at the stated meeting in January. If interested Contact me at (619) 443-4449 Deadline is March 31.

Brothers, Fred Sieg received his third degree, Matt Jackson gave his 1 st degree proficiency and David Greenwood gave his 3 rd degree proficiency. Congratulations to all.

The officers are working to perform the 2 nd degree this month. It looks like we will have two to advance.
Anyone who wants to participate in the degree work but does not want to go through the line can learn a charge or a part in the 2 nd section of the 3 rd degree. We do need some back up for unexpected absences.

The Widow's flower delivery went well and the Ladies enjoyed the visits and the thought.

Secretaries had their retreat this month to keep up with the lodge administration duties. Their work is never done.

This month we have daylight savings time, so set your clocks ahead on the 14 th @2 AM.

Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day on the 17 th . There will be plenty of corn beef and cabbage this month.

A few things to look forward to are, Fifty Year Awards and a Seventy Five year award coming soon and our Luau in April. Watch for the dates.
