As the Sun Rises in the East - March 2010

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all. There isn't a lot planned for this month, which will give us some much deserved breathing space. We have been hard at it since December and I, for one, feel that we all deserve a break.

There will be a Fellow Craft degree on the first of this month for Brother Jackson. He did a fine job on his proficiency last month and is eager to press forward.

There will also be three, count them - three, fifty year golden veteran awards given out at this month's stated meeting. Be sure to be with us to support and honor our brothers.

Congratulations on a fine proficiency given by David Greenwood. Well done, Brother Dave. Now you can relax for at least a couple of minutes and then get started on learning those charges… just kidding. Good Job.

Welcome to our newest brother Alejandro ”call me Alex” Munoz . We enjoyed putting on the degree and hope you enjoyed it also.

There will be another proficiency night this month on the twenty-second at seven p. m. As always, if you are ready, talk to your coach and let him know, so we can know who to expect.

The Coming Home meeting in February was an unqualified success. We had quite a few brothers come out whom we haven't seen in a long time. I hope that you brothers will give us the pleasure of your company at lodge more often in the future.

Many thanks to all of you that came out and helped with our annual flower delivery to our honored ladies.

On April 29th we will be awarding Brother Perlich who has attained the age of 99 years young. The Grand Master of California will be present and will present to him his 75 year pin and certificate. This is going to be an event that does not come around often. There will be dinner for this occasion. Invitations will be sent out in the near future. Please plan on attending and R. S. V. P. the Secretary along with your payment. Deadline will be 26 April.

Also we will be voting on Mr. John A. Gallien for the Degrees Of Masonry.

Next month will be busy, so lace up your track shoes.

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Have Fun in Masonry Hiram,
See you at the lodge.

John Keretz, PM
