History of IOJD The International Order of Job's Daughters was founded in 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska, by Mrs. Ethel T. Wead Mick. Job's Daughters is a premier organization for young women from ages 11 to 20, who are "related" to a Master Mason. Members learn important skills that benefit them now, as well as in the future, such as leadership, organization, teamwork and self reliance. The lessons of Job's Daughters are taught around the principle framework of respect for parents and home, loyalty to flag and country, and reverence for God. The Order takes it's name from the Book of Job, with particular reference to the 42nd chapter, 15th verse, which states: "And in all the land were no women found so fair as the Daughters of Job."

What is Job's Daughters? An Organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20 years of age, who are related to a Master Mason or are the daughter of a Majority Member of the International Order of Job's Daughters. Job's Daughters wear white robes fashioned after the classical Greek style.
The object of this Order is to band together girls of Masonic relationship for the purpose of character formation through moral and spiritual development by teaching leadership skills, greater reverence for God and the Holy Scriptures, loyalty to our flag and the country, and a deeper respect for parents, the family and adults.
Each Bethel earns its own funds through car washes, dinners, paper and can collections, candy sales, table serving, and other services. The youth plan their own social activities and programs, with guidance and assistance from their adult advisors, and enjoy the fun and fellowship of being together.
