I was invited to visit by my friend Leon Leibowitz while visiting him in his Jewelry Store here in Westchester.  When he learned my wife of 40 years had died, he strongly urged me to come to a stated meeting and I have been coming ever since.  I spent my early years in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I was Master Counselor of DeMolay. After graduating from the University of Utah I moved to Tracy California where I was initiated, passed and raised in Mt. Oso lodge and served a term as Jr. Steward.  I moved to San Luis Obispo where I became a member of King David’s Lodge.  While there I was president of the High Twelve International club and a ritual advisor to DeMolay for two years.  I have been a Deputy District Attorney for the county of Los Angeles for the past 20 years.  I was engaged in the private practice of law for three years in Marina del Rey and before going to law school I was an executive for the Boy Scouts of America.  have always been very active in community affairs.  I was president of the Marina del Rey Bar Association and have been in Kiwanis, Jaycees, Rotary and Optimist, and Toastmaster clubs.  My hobbies include folksong-singing, guitar and fiddle playing, motor cycling, clowning, amateur magic, ham radio and computers.  My two children are grown and married and my two grand children are spoiled by me!

Besides my grandfather, there was my father, Harvey Chernik, P.M., and my uncles Leo Resnick, P.M., and Bros.
