Installation of officers was held on I anuary 18th. Host was Worshipful Fred Shirey, P.M., Installing Officer was Worshipful Harold E. Hagaman, P.M., Master of Ceremonies was Worshipful Howard I. Coffman, Sr., P.M., Chaplain was Worshipful Ralph W. Simmons, P.M., and pianist was Fern Hammond.
During the year four First Degrees, four Second Degrees, and four Third Degrees were conferred. We also had two affiliates.
Two Hiram Awards were presented by the Master to Howard I. Coffman, Sr., P.M. and Robert S. Whitlach, P.M. for their dedication and work for Golden Rule Lodge. Widows (or Sweethearts) night was attended by 26 Sweethearts. Golden Rule hosted the annual Chicken Feed at Morgan Hill Lodge with over ~ 260 in attendance.
During the year we presented six 25 year pins and two 50 year pins. Other activities during the year included three Family Night barbeques, the Lodge picnic at Vasona Park with 40 people in attendance and the Lodge Golf Tournament run by Worshipful Dave Denbow.
We also had a flag night program presented by Worshipful George Allen, Ir., P.M. The traveling degree was held at Columbia Lodge (where I was raised 10 years previously) with Henry (Hank) Vlcek being raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. Brother Art Johns donated an altar Masonic bible and a microphone stand to the Lodge. At the November Stated Meeting Brother Richard I. Kramer was elected to serve as Master of the Lodge for 1994.
