The Corp of 84 had began Starting with my first Stated Meeting on February 6 throughout the year was one of many rewarding degrees and camaraderie, including events like Columbia on May 19th when Brother Perez was raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. On July 16, the lodge had a great Family BBQ turnout, the same great support for the August Potluck Dinner. The fish-trip became an annual event that year with us renting two large boats and catching many many big whoppers. Monterey hasn't been the same. On October 29th Brother Norman Simmons was very justly awarded the Hiram Award for his outstanding contribution to our lodge. Our lovely Widows enjoyed a night with the Lodge on November 19, with a professional singing group entertaining us. The year 1984 lost four of our brethren which is too many but, I thanked God it wasn 't more. All of the San Jose Temple's Lodges got together and had a big Christmas party for all of our Masonic children (Young & Old). Worshipful Marcel Diner was elected to the Master's chair on December 3rd, for 1985. Master: James L. Rankin; Senior Warden: Marcel Diner; Junior Warden: Harold Hagaman; Secretary: James Leggate; Treasurer: George Dolfin, P.M.
