Open installation on J an. 15, with Past Masters Harry Carlsen, Installing Officer; Donald Kidder, Master of Ceremonies; and Emile Roggy, Installing Chaplain. Twenty-four Past Masters out of a possible 30 were present. Our annual trip to Columbia to confer the Third Degree was on May 19. Con- tributions to the Masonic Homes Endowment Fund by this lodge exceeded ( $3,000 for the first time. Contract for the new Masonic Temple was signed in June and construction began about July 11. Ways and means for funding our $45,000 pledge to the San Jose Masonic Temple Association were discussed and a voluntary plan of solicitation was adopted. On Oct. I, Worshipful Brother Donald Kidder, Past Master of this lodge, was presented with a plaque signifying that he was a 12-gallon donor to the Blood Bank. Twenty- two Past Masters attended the annual banquet Oct. 29 and 30 members were announced as eligible for 25-year pins, most of whom were present. At the Dec. 3 stated meeting Bro. George Dolfin was elected Master for 1974, and Worshipful Brother James V. Hillis was elected Secretary to replace Leon E. A1len who retired from that office after 33 years. The Blood Bank balance reached anew high at 192 pints.
