On Jan. 15, Harry Edwin Carlsen was installed Worshipful Master by Past Master Elmer Charles Wright Jr. as Installing Officer; Past Master Stanley Calvin Drysdale as Master of Ceremonies, and Benjamin Henry Farrin as Installing Chaplain. Bethel 127, Jobs Daughters, conferred a degree following our stated meeting of April 1. At a special meeting on April 29, Hermann Lodge No. 127, San Francisco, conferred the Third Degree of Masonry on Hans Rudolph, a Fellowcraft of this lodge, all work being in the German language. San Jose Lodge No. 10 was also our guest. About 150 members and visitors were present on this occasion which was featured by the vocal and instrumental music of organist Walter Lorenz of Hermann Lodge. Our annual trip to Columbia was held on May 4. Resolution to raise the application fee to $100 and the annual dues to $15 was presented at the July 1 stated meeting by the finance committee, and, if adopted, to become effective Jan. I, 1969. The resolution was adopted at the Aug. 5 stated meeting and later approved by Grand Lodge. No word was received on plans of the temple association concerning a new meeting place. On Nov. 4, the sum required for payment of a life membership in this lodge was increased to $325. Twenty members of this lodge received 25-year lapel pins at the annual Past Masters' Night Nov. 25. Bro. Harold E. Carrell was elected Master for 1969 at the Dec. 2 stated meeting. Blood Bank balance slowly increasing, 22 pints at present; 40 degrees conferred; membership, 704.
