Open installation on Jan. 18 with the customary installing team. To Columbia on May 22. At the December stated meeting, amendments to the by-laws increasing the application fee to $100 and dues to $18 per year failed to get the necessary two-thirds vote for adoption. Emile W. Roggy elected Master for 1966. 38 degrees; membership, 711.

1965- LLOYD G. BENJAMIN Open Installation ceremonies were held on January 20. Installing officer was P.M. Charles D. Griffel and Master of Ceremonies was P.M. Harvey Leon Roy. Installing Chaplain was Brother Clark A. Newton, Pastor of Alum Rock Methodist Church. Past Masters Winfred E. Johnson and Oscar Swenson retired as Third and First Degree Coaches, respectfully. They were replaced by Edwin C. Van De Mark and Jess Lile. Floyd Baughman remained as Second Degree Coach. Trustees for 1965 were Past Masters Harvey L. Roy, Herbert F. Fisher, and Milton A. Nielson. On March 29, the Lodge hosted a free bean feed for the Cambrian Chapter of DeMolay, who conferred a degree on one of their members. The April public schools week program had the Sacramento DeMolay Band and Group, which put on a fine show enjoyed by all. On May 23, Golden Rule Lodge travelled to Columbia and conferred the Third Degree upon Brother Walter Gadsby. May 26, Golden Rule Lodge took candidate Al Swanson to Willow Glen Lodge, and the "Behives" (Masters of 1965) conferred the Third Degree. This year's annual B-B-Q Picnic was held at Archie and Emma Ledman's El Toro Ranch in Morgan Hill. Constitution Day Observance breakfast was held Sunday, September 19. Breakfast was served by the Cambrian Chapter of DeMolay. Guest speaker was Bruce Allen, former Assemblyman and a member of Golden Rule Lodge. Family Pot-Luck dinner was held on October 25. On the November 8 Past Master's Night, the Third Degree was conferred l' upon Donald Lee Delvin. Officers and Past Masters and wives enjoyed a get-together at El Toro Ranch in Morgan Hill. On November 29, Golden Rule Lodge watched Bethel No.129 exemplify the majority degree.
