Open installation Jan. 23. Worshipful Master Charles Griffel, the Installing Officer, on entering the lodge room at 8 p.m., announced that Past Master Frank H. Moeller, who was to act as Master of Ceremonies (in place of P .M. Harvey L. Roy who was ill) had died suddenly within the hour. He stated that the installation ceremonies would proceed, and that Past Master Fred Eaton of Friendship Lodge No.21 0 would act as Master of Ceremonies. The ceremonies were concluded on a rather somber note. The lodge again journeyed to Columbia this year on the date of June 10. At the Dec. 4 meeting, Elmer C. Wright, Jr. was elected Master for 1962.
