Open installation on Jan. 12, Charles Griffel and Harvey Roy, offici- ating. Bro. Frank Freeman, Past Master '51, presented anew altar Bible to the lodge, at the April 6 stated meeting. Roy Everette Bartholomew elected Master for 1954 on Dec. 7. Degrees 68; membership 635. There were no deaths this year. Bro. Swensen, nicknamed Ya, Sure (with Scandinavian accent if possible), was the "official pianist" at Past Masters' affairs-a marvel at that because he could thump out nearly any popular tune despite some fingers missing on one hand.
