1952-CHARLES EVERETT BRADLEY
Early in the reign in A.D. 1952 of Charles Everett Bradley, installed by Past Masters Griffel and J. Ross Kennedy on Jan. 14, the lodge at its March 3 stated meeting adopted a resolution approving purchase by the San Jose Masonic Hall Association of vacant property adjacent to the present 272 South First St. temple property, facing South Second Street near West San Carlos Street for a sum not to exceed $90,000. During the year the following items were purchased by the lodge: a new lodge room Flag, a new electric Address-o-graph, and a used typewriter, the latter items for use by the secretary .Study was in progress concerning construction of a new Masonic Temple, but no recommendations were made. On Dec. 5, our First Master, Bro. Albert E. Sandbo, and his wife, Maude Sandbo, were admitted to the Masonic Home at Decoto. At the December stated meeting, Bro. Oscar M. Swensen was elected Master for 1953. Degrees, 83; membership, 626.
