1946-EDWIN T. (Bob) CLARK
On May 6 a resolution to increase the initiation fee to $100 was defeated, but at the next stated meeting of June 3 the fee was raised from $50 to $75, and time of stated meetings was changed from 8 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The increase in fees caused a deluge of applications for the degrees, 23 being received during May and June. On Oct. 28 more than 200 members attended the annual banquet and Past Masters' Night. The heavy influx of candidates caused many extra meeting nights with as many as 5 First and Seconds or 2 Thirds being conferred on many occasions. During the year 54 Firsts, 41 Seconds and 26 Third Degrees were conferred. Membership at year's end was 482. Floyd Donwood Craig was elected our 1947 Master on Dec.2.
