Open installation of officers was held Jan. 16 with Past Masters Griffel and Holaday acting as Installing Officer and Master of Ceremonies, respectively. At the stated meeting of April 3 it was voted to purchase the outstanding shares of stock in the San Jose Masonic Hall Association, now held by private individuals, and to purchase such other shares as would be alloted to the lodge by the Association. Bro. Joel M. Carter was elected 1940 Master at the stated meeting of Dec. 4.
