Leon E. Allen was elected as Worshipful Master at the stated meeting Dec. 2, 1935, and at an open installation Jan. 13, 1936, took office. Due to the sudden passing of Worshipful Charles A. English, Inspector of the 54th Masonic District, Bro. Charles D. Griffel, Past Master of this lodge in 1928, consented to act as Installing Officer, with Bro. Oren P. Holaday, Past Master, again acting as Master of Ceremonies. On May 27, Bro. Donald 0. DeMers received the Second Degree of Masonry at the Masonic Home at Decoto (now Union City), the degree being conferred by the officers of Golden Rule Lodge. Bro. Bruno Schulz, Senior Warden, acted as Master. Bro. Fred Wool, Master of San Jose Lodge No. 10 and his officers and members were our guests on June 29, and they conferred the Third Degree of Masonry on Bro. Robert E. Renzel. This was a busy day for Golden Rule as we con- ducted the funerals of Bro. George Owen and Bro. John Miller. At the stated meeting of Dec. 7, Bro. Bruno L. Schulz was elected Master for the year in 1937.
