On January 2 a joint installation of the officers of San Jose Lodge No.10, Friendship Lodge No.210, Fraternity Lodge No.399, and Golden Rule Lodge No.479 was held in the Scottish Rite Temple with Grand Master Albert E. Boynton as Installing Officer and Grand Lecturer Thomas Baker serving as Master of Ceremonies. On Dec. 6, Bro. Oren Perry Holaday was elected as Master for the year 1927. Inspectors Charles A. English and Theodore M. Wright, acting as Installing Officer and Master of Ceremonies, respectively, installed the 1927 officers of this lodge on December 13 at open ceremonies. Worthy of note is the fact that Brother Simpkins served . Golden Rule as organist from 1927 through 1930, in 1946 and 1947, and again from 1952 through 1956, a total of 12 terms.
