March April May 2003

From the Worthy Matron

Dear Sisters and Brothers'

We would like to thank everyone for your support and assistance for the past three months. It takes all the officers and members working together to make a chapter work. Please support this chapter's activities and those of other chapters, as well as the Masons, and our youth groups. Work spread over many makes the work easier for all.

This year membership is one of the projects the WGM and WGP are stressing. The goal they have set is to keep the state membership at the same level as 2002. Unfortunately, the state membership is down over 900, therefore, we all need to work to increase membership. Mike Cornell our Membership Chairman is working hard with the Membership Committee and line officers, on a membership program. There are two events scheduled to

promote membership. The first event is on Brothers' Night (March 5th) and the second event is a Youth Membership Night for majority members of our youth groups (April 16th). A goal of 10 new chapter members has been set, we want to meet or beat this goal and need your assistance to do this. Please support our membership efforts and keep an eye out for possible new members; they may not join today or tomorrow, but with a little effort they may join.

Welcome to our two new members Erin Lease and Warren Lake, please come and participate as often as you can.

CONGRATULATIONS! Brother Ernie Lewis for being appointed to the General Grand Chapter Committee, Public Communications. This is another reason to attend General Grand Chapter in Portland.
