HISTORY OF OUR LODGE

On April 18, 1908, a group of Master Masons met in the office of Benjamin Wainwright Child to take the measures necessary to establish a Masonic Lodge in Turlock, California. These Brethren subsequently became the sixteen charter members of Turlock Masonic Lodge. They were:  Benjamin Wainwright Child, Daniel Raymond, Clarence Humphrey Bronaugh, James Ray Quigley, John Seymore Homer, Hartman Walter Rickenbacher, Benjamin Franklin Clarke, Corwin Camden Coffinberry, Peter Eric Anderson, Donald McKenzie, James Brown, Fredrick E. Mobley, James Alexander Holton, Martin Monroe Handy and William Joseph F. Funk.

Thanks to the work of these Brothers a charter was issued to Turlock Lodge #395 F. & A. M. by the Grand Lodge of the State of California on October 15, 1908.

Turlock Lodge opened with the original sixteen Charter members and the annual dues were established at six dollars per annum. Today there are approximately two hundred twenty members in the Turlock Lodge and the dues stand at sixty-five dollars per year.
