From the East
First and foremost, Happy
Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays to all the families and
brethren. On Monday, November 6, 2006 at 7:00 pm,
will be our Stated Meeting / Family Night Dinner and most
importantly, it will be our election of officers for 2007.
Please mark on your calendar this important date. In addition,
as I stated in the previous Stated meetings, prior to all
Stated Meetings, we will have our Temple Board meeting at 6:00
pm and all the brethren are invited to attend the meeting so
that you are informed about the management and what time and
effort it takes to manage the building as well as the cost to
maintain it.
2006 Masonic year is almost
at an end and I feel that there is still a lot left to
accomplish. Our lodge is going through a transition as well as
our Grand jurisdiction, in which we, as brothers, must come
together and work to further strengthen our fraternity as well
as our lodge. In going through difficult adversity, every
individual must take responsibility for their own actions,
hopefully learn from their experience and try to make a
difference. We must become active Masons and not just in name.
Individually, we must become active leaders in our own
respective endeavors and let no motive or any person try to
swerve you from your Masonic obligations and duties you owe to
the lodge. “Let Justice be the guide to all your actions”.
Let us support the incoming officers for 2007 and work to
improve the lodge as a whole.
Through the recommendation of
the Hiram Award Committee, it gives me great honor and
privilege to announce 2007 Hiram Award recipient, Brother
Norman Naylor. On Monday, December 4, 2006 at 7:00 pm we will
be presenting Brother Norman Naylor the Hiram Award for his
dedication and service to Torrance
University
lodge #394. Please contact Bro. Jesse Medina at (562) for RSVP
so that we may properly prepare the food and refreshments
arrangements.
