The South

June and July were very busy months for the lodge. Candidates
were conferred, raised and refreshments were graciously
provided compliments of the candidates.
I
want to thank Bro. Dave Peterson and the brethren for the
family night dinner. Also, a big round of applause for Bro.
Jesse Medina and Bro. Edgar Santos for coordinating the
Father’s day dinner with the other brethren that provided a
delicious meal and of course, an enjoyable evening fellowship
and sisterhood among the ladies.
This August 2004 Stated /
Family Night Dinner, Edgar Santos will be chairing the Stated
Family Night dinner. Also, September 2004 Stated / Family
Night Dinner will be chaired by Ed Sebastian. Brethren,
please invite your friends and bring the family for the Family
night dinner. This is one of the few occasions the public,
outside of the immediate family and relatives of members, are
able to participate and set foot inside our lodge. Keep in
mind to do our concerted effort to do our Public Relations
when we are out in the community.
We are scheduling our second
Big Garage Sale / Health Fair on October 2, 2004. Brethren, we
are asking for your assistance, not monetarily, but, to bring
any old clothing, small appliances and such to the lodge that
are sellable in preparation of the Garage Sale / Health Fair.
Summer has passed and it’s time to clean out your garages and
storages and assist us in our community outreach to help
maintain the lodge and augment the building fund. Brethren,
remember that we must build upon the Masonic superstructure
which our departed brethren have bestowed upon us. Details of
any updates of the Garage Sale and Health Fair will be posted
on the lodge web site and a phone tree has been established to
the brethren that do not have access to computers. Lastly,
your kind gesture is greatly appreciated from the officers,
brethren and families of Torrance University Lodge #394.
Fraternally,
Rio L. Santonil
