From
The West

When I entered the Fraternity, I did not
have any comprehension of the profound impact it would have
upon my life. Like a sponge absorbing water, my mind absorbed
the teachings of Freemasonry. The learning process continues
and I see no end in sight. I try daily to practice that which
I have learned. For me, masonry has become “A WAY OF LIFE”.
When I
was a chaplain, the closing prayer in our symbolic lodge
states “Wilt thou be pleased so to influence our hearts and
minds that we may each one of us practice out of this lodge
those great moral duties which are inculcated in it”. With
this closing prayer, we should be guided by this craft’s
principle in our everyday lives in order to better improve
ourselves in freemasonry. I’m really thankful for the joy and
satisfaction freemasonry has brought to my life in becoming a
better man. There is a saying that we always hear “Practice
what you preach”. Let’s practice this Masonic principle.
To the
centennial committee chairpersons, please mark your calendars,
May 25, 2007 at 7:00pm at our lodge Library for our second
meeting. Your presence is a must. Your intelligent input in
regards to the centennial celebration is greatly needed.
Happy
Easter to everyone and your family.
Fraternally,
Ernesto Marzo
