The East

Brethren, last month proved to be a pretty
busy month for us. It all started on March 4, Sunday,
20 brethren including myself had the opportunity to join our
GM Melvin B. Stein at the Masonic Service Bureau breakfast in
LA. It was an awesome experience especially for our newly
raised brothers.
Our
last Stated Meeting and the official visitation of our
District Inspector and St. Patrick’s-Family Dinner sponsored
by our Sec. Tom R, PM was another night to remember. The St.
Patrick’s-Family Night dinner was set to honor our Demolays,
but unfortunately they could not attend due to school related
reasons and also MC Jason Sebastian being sick that day. Only
PMC Chris Cabanatan and Princess Marthina Cinco were able to
attend which the brethren appreciated. Thanks to you guys!!!
Congratulations to our newly obligated brothers, Glenn
Emerson, Jolit Catamisan and Daniel Maclang Jr. initiated last
March 12, 2007.
Eleven
of us attended the Masonic Funeral Service for our late Past
Master Gordon Edward Wyne Jr. in Huntington Beach on March 14.
Thanks to all the officers and the brethren who attended,
especially Bro. Elito Santarina, PM and Bro. Noel DeBelen who
led us in the Masonic Funeral rites. Also thanks to Bro. Rey
Gutierrez, PM who shared with us a brief eulogy of his
experiences with our late PM. We, the Officers and Members of
the Torrance University Lodge No. 394, wish to convey our
deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family of our departed
brother.
2007
Public School Science Fair planning session with the School
Board of the Torrance Unified School was held last March 16 at
the Torrance Unified School HQ and our lodge was represented
by all our Public School Committee members led by Bro. Herb
W., PM. Also present were the representative of Sunnyside
Lodge #577. Last Saturday March 24 was a well-attended
Installation of Officers of the Torrance Chapter Order of
Demolay were many demolay members of other chapters, families
and friends as well as brother masons were present to grace
the night. Congratulations to the newly installed officers
especially to MC Kirby A. Araullo. Congratulations also to
Retiring MC Jason Sebastian for a successful and productive
term. A million thanks to the Torrance Demolay Advisory
Council and the Dads and Moms for their tireless efforts and
dedication for the good of the order.
