The East

On behalf of the officers and
members of Torrance
University lodge, I
would like to extend my sincere appreciation Worshipful Art
Weiss, PM for his presentation last January 9, 2006, on the
Masonic Student Assistance Program (MSAP) and scholarship
program. We thoroughly enjoyed his presentation. By any
measure he is a very effective speaker. I found his
presentation regarding the MSAP Program especially
informative. Judging from the comments of those who were
present at our Stated Meeting / Family Night Dinner it was
very successful.
Next month, we will have a
speaker on Shriner’s Hospital for Children on Monday, February
6, 2006 at our Stated Meeting / Family Night dinner. The
presentation will start at 7:45 pm. The speaker will cover how
the hospital is subsidized, types of assistance it provides to
the children and how patients are obtained. Friends and family
are welcome to attend.
The following month, Monday,
March 6, 2006, we will have a speaker on Masonic History and
Artifacts. This will be a treat for Masonic enthusiast. Mark
your calendar and join us in our family fellowship.
I encourage any member to
contact and inform me should you have a preference on inviting
a speaker on a particular subject, if feasible, so that we may
schedule them accordingly.
You hear a lot of dedicated
Masons say, “The more you put into it, the more you’ll get out
of it”. Join the officers, brothers and ladies to participate
and continue our lodge’s success. Let us meet on the level,
promote the harmony and strengthen our lodge through family
oriented activities as well as informative activities where
the general members learn about the different Masonic
Concordant Bodies and the community programs each supports.
Lastly, I want to
congratulate our newly obligated brothers, Entered Apprentice
Bro. Braceros and Bro. Thienngern who were initiated January
16, 2006.
Fraternally,
Rio L. Santonil
Worshipful Master
