The Officers of Torrance
University #394 starts the ensuing year with a rousing
kick-off at our 98th Installation of Officers on
Saturday, December 10, 2005. Many of the attendees, relatives
and guest were treated to a warm reception by the officers and
their families which set the tone for an evening of fun and
dancing. On behalf of the officers, I would like to thank the
Installing Officers: Worshipful Toddy Eusebio, PM, Worshipful
Jan Eligh, PM and Worshipful Mario Camantigue, PM for making
the day a memorable moment. Also, I would like to thank the
following people: Tom Reoch, Jr., the Torrance Chapter, Order
of Demolay, the officers, the ladies, their families and the
brethren for your tireless support to the lodge. The visiting
brethren, family and guest were treated to a deliciously
prepared meal headed by our 2003 Hiram Awardee recipient
Benjamin Fama. My family and I realized that there were many
of you who assisted in the preparation and served the meals
and on behalf of the officers; I want to thank you for making
Torrance University #394 an example of which we can all be proud.
The following Monday, December
12, 2005, we had our Family Christmas Party Potluck Dinner
which was organized by our Junior Warden, Edmundo S.
Sebastian. The brethren and their families brought gifts for
the kids in attendance which made the night a special
celebration for the holidays. The night was filled with good
food, fun and games organized by our Torrance University Lady
Bugs. I want to thank the ladies for organizing the games and
contests which made the night very enjoyable. In addition, on
behalf of the Covina Homes for the Orphanage, the lodge was
presented a donation by the Boots and Bows Line Dancers. We
would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Boots and
Bows Line Dancers for their continued support to Covina Homes.
On behalf of Worshipful Sam
Boyamyan and the officers, I wanted to thank Sis Lorna
Ordinario and family who sponsored the Stated Family Night
dinner and provided a delicious meal for the families on
Monday, November 7, 2005.
I would like to cordially
invite the brethren and their families and join us at our
Stated Meeting / Family Night Dinner on Monday, January 9,
2006 at 7:00 pm. Please join us and meet the 2006 Officers and kickoff the New Year with
fun filled and family activities.
Happy Holidays, Merry
Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all!
Fraternally,
Rio L. Santonil
