FROM THE WEST - September 2005

Brethren:

I am bound by the obligations that I pledged to our institution during my degrees and I believe that we are mutually bound by the same obligations to perpetuate Masonry and to practice out of the Lodge the values that are taught in our rituals. This, to me, is the essential value of Masonry in today’s world. The ability of a Masonic Lodge to provide such value is dependant upon good presentation of Masonic ritual, a successful program of Masonic education, active participation in Child I.D. and a program of social activities that maintains fellowship with members and their families. Each of the above criteria is equally essential to the success of the Lodge. I think that our Lodge has been especially successful in accomplishing all four of the above criteria necessary for the creation of value to us and to our community. We’ve had excellent participation in our symbolism seminars, our Masonic Information Night, Luau Picnic and Reagan Presidential Library trip during the summer. Please continue to support the Lodge with your participation in our activities both social and Masonic, especially your attendance as sideliners and participants during our Degree nights. In this way, you will help to perpetuate this Lodge and Masonry’s value to the community. Also, please remember that a Mason’s conduct outside the Lodge is more important than his conduct within the Lodge.

Fraternally Yours,
