Please set aside Saturday, July 24th to join the brethern of Hollywood-West Valley and their ladies in a trip to the Al Malaikah Shrine Temple where they are putting on a special event for Masons and their ladies.

• It is a special Masonic event. A presentation of the French First Degree where the ritual is different than ours and it is all done in French but you will know exactly what's going on.

• All Masons that have received their First Degree can attend.

• While we are getting our French lesson, the ladies will be entertained and for some of the ladies who desire, a tour of the Shriner's Hospital for Children is available.

• After the degree the party begins with refreshments that are available to put you in the proper party mood, followed by dinner, then drawings with some great prizes and of course, music.

This event is being put on by the Al Malaikah Shrine and is open to everyone. What Wor. Burt and I are trying to do is coordinate it so that all of the Hollywood-West Valley members who want to go will be together. The Shrine is charging $10.00 per person for the dinner and if we can arrange for a bus to take us to Los Angeles, there will be a small charge to cover the tip for the bus driver. Regardless of how we get to the Shrine Temple, it is our intention to work with the Al Malaikah Shriner's to keep us together as a group.

This is not necessarily a couples thing. We would like to see every Mason who can attend... go. Rudy Bauer, PM, Paul Kayne and I attended the French First Degree in May and I know I could see it again to see what I missed.

This kind of short notice thing, we will need to have a commitment from you and perhaps some money by the July Stated Meeting. The event starts at the Temple at 1:30 pm and goes until 8 or 9:00 pm. Whatever we set up at the Lodge, it will start between 12 and 12:30 pm and return about 9:00 pm.
