FROM THE EAST - March 2005

Brethren:

Sunday, January 30, 2005, the Lodge held it's first Movie Night of the year and I understand it was well attended. I unfortunately was nursing a cold and could not attend. I thank Rudy and Joann for putting this event together. It was an extra effort for Rudy, who is recovering from a knee replacement surgery.

Sunday, February 20, 2005, the Lodge held its Annual Bowling Event chaired by Rudy Bauer and it was a great success and everybody had a great time and bowled very high scores. Unfortunately we are unable to announce the winners at this time, but they will be announced at the March Stated Meeting.

January and February were excellent months for degrees and our Junior Warden, James Bayhylle, will be keeping you posted on who has received them, or better yet, come on out on Thursdays and see for yourself. The ritual work that is being done is excellent.

Sunday, March 13, 2005 the second Annual Brunch and Game Day Event will be held. This event will be chaired by Jerry and Aaron Shubb, and it is probably no surprise to anyone, but Aaron will be handling the Brunch and Jerry the Games. This event was invented by the Shubbs, and it did not get the advertisement it deserved last year. It is designed as a fun, relaxing Sunday afternoon of eating and playing board games for prizes. Because last year nobody wanted to to home, we have added a Movie Night to the event, and Jack Press will be chairing that. The movie dinner is scheduled to be at Abe's Deli, and the scheduled movie and theater will be announced at the March Stated Meeting Dinner.

If you check the 2005 Social Calendar page you will notice I am changing the May Event by dropping the weekend trip and instead I am trying to schedule a bus trip to Medieval Times at a reasonable price.

On the Wednesday following the Stated Meeting every month at 7:30 pm, Ken Kolchier conducts a Symbolism Seminar which is open to all Masons.

Fraternally,
