July 2004

Brethren:

Welcome to summer, and Happy 4th of July! This being the 228th anniversary of that noble experiment which has lasted and inspired millions for all these years, and in which so many of our brethren of the time took part in, from Wor. George Washington to the Masonic Private in the ranks, from Wor. Benjamin Franklin to the farmer in the field, we today, owe you all our heartfelt thanks.

We also lament the loss of our 40th President, Ronald Reagan. May your rest be peaceful, and without incident. Our deepest respects go out to Mrs. Reagan and the Reagan family.

On this 4th of July, we not only remember our nation's journey of 228 years but also, all those who helped keep our great nation free and the bastion of democracy that IS the envy of all who admire freedom.

This past month we initiated Bro. Joseph Foo and raised Bro. Paul Kayne and Bro. Harry Stephan to the sublime degree of Master Mason. We also have had several proficiencies, which were given in an exemplary manner thanks to our candidates coach, Wor. Will Fishkin.

Congratulations to Bro. George Fayle on receiving his 50 year certificate at the June Stated Meeting which was held in the Lodge room. What a more respectful and impressive program to have this ceremony in the Lodge room than in the social hall. We will continue this as a tribute to a veteran brother.

At the June Stated Meeting we balloted on more new candidates, we keep right on growing, let's keep it up.

Again brethren, please try and attend degree nights and support your new brethren and your degree team who put so much into their work and ARE the best team I have seen from any other Lodge that I have been to. We are the best, come and see the best there is.

Again, thanks to Bro. James Bayhylle for chairing the Renaissance Faire, all who attended had a great time. And believe it or not, the weather was just great. We even had to wear jackets for most of the day.

Thank you to Wor. Marco Romey and his lovely lady Star, Bro. Paul Kayne, Bro. Spyros Pappas, and Bro. David Sylvester for helping set up for the Stated Meeting.

We have a trip planned to the Shrine Auditorium for the French First Degree on July 24th and a movie night July 25th.
