We are having an exciting as well as a challenging year. I am gaining a greater understanding of the workings of the Lodge, the time commitment of going up the line, and all the demands made upon the Master and Wardens. Just being on a committee or two and chairing an event or two plus the weekly meetings, the Officer's School of Instruction, and of course our exciting social calendar. This does not include work, school, family, religious commitments, or any of the other day to day obligations that we all have. So I would like to thank all the men who have preceded me in the Lodge. I have a much greater appreciation for all of you. With all this in mind I look forward to the rest of the year and beyond.
We just had our first blood drive here at the Lodge. We had dozens of participants both from our Lodge and other Lodges. Thanks Brother Klein for a great job.
We still are collecting food for the Valley Interfaith Alliance. If you have any canned goods please bring them to the Lodge so we can give them to this worthy endeavor.
The last thing I would like to share is that we just got from the International Supreme Council Order of DeMolay, the official notice of "Hollywood Chapter" receiving the letters temporarily. There will be an official presentation upcoming. I will keep you informed. If you have any young men that you know that may have an interest, please let me know.
Fraternally,
Aaron Shubb
Junior Warden
