FROM THE SOUTH
June 2007

Brethren and Ladies,

I want to thank everyone who has been so kind during my bout with the kidney stones. The phone calls were overwhelming. The love and affection was amazing and sometimes tiring but it was always very much appreciated!

We just made our first donation to the Valley Inter-Faith Council of our collected can goods. They were excited to have a new group to work with. Besides the food we collect, they said they can always use personal hygiene items. Please keep bringing your donations to any meeting and put it in the purple bucket.

It is that time of year we award a few young scholars with grants towards their continuing education. There will be an award ceremony at Canoga Park High School on June 15th at 7:00 pm. We will be presenting our checks at our July Stated Meeting Dinner. If anyone would like to host one of these young men or young ladies at your table, please let me know.

This little blurb is as your caterer: Please make reservations for the Stated Meeting Dinners. If you do not specify (if there is an option), you will be given the original selection. The cut off for the reservations is 12 noon, the Monday before the Stated Meeting Dinner. Please try to conform to this. I do my best to save the Lodge money by ordering only what is needed.

We have a busy social calendar this month. I hope to see you at the events. Thanks again for the support and yes, I still have the kidney stones.

Fraternally,

Aaron Shubb
Junior Warden
