Greetings Brethren,
As I begin this, the first installment of my 36 month banter, I wish to begin by thanking all of you for allowing me the privilege of serving our Lodge in this capacity. I will do my best to merit your trust and confidence.
The New Year has begun and the Holiday Season is finally coming to an end. What an interesting year. I wish to thank Worshipful James Bayhylle for finishing his year and carrying himself with the dignity of a seasoned veteran.
Worshipful David Sylvester has planned an exciting year and I am looking forward to a lot of fun. I hope you are as well. Please let us know if you are interested in chairing or just being on the committee for any of the annual Lodge events. There is plenty to do for anyone who would participate, and quite frankly extra hands always seem to be needed.
The Masonic Formation Committee has been meeting regularly for over a year now and there are plenty of exciting ideas being put forth. Please come and attend the meetings and see for yourself. We meet at 7:30 pm, the Wednesday before the Stated Meeting every month. Committee members are certified by Grand Lodge but certification is not necessary to attend meetings or participate in activities; as a matter of fact, all brethren are very welcome to stop by on meeting nights.
My first goal as Junior Warden is to attempt to create a steady line of contact with as many of our members as possible, even if it is just for a quick, "Hello, how are you?" This in past years might seem to be impossible but with today's technological advances everyone is just an e-mail away. My e-mail is: tecolote@gmail.com. A little unusual but people seem to remember it. Please e-mail me and say, "Hi." This will allow me to update Lodge records with e-mail addresses.
I hope to see you all in Lodge!
Fraternally,
Arthur Melendez
Junior Warden
