2010 is upon us, and unfortunately the economic condition of the world we live in is less than stellar. That is why I am opting to break from the norm and use my “article” to once again remind everyone how important philanthropy is. Not only to us as Mason, who are obligated to care for one another, withersoever dispersed around the globe to the best of our ability – but also on a personal level. If you are in need, or know a brother or widow who is – please reach out to me.
In the mean time, I would like to leave you with this quote: “I couldn’t be more grateful that my husband’s lodge put me in touch with the MOS program. He always told me that the brothers are there to help you. I don’t know what I would have done without their support. I can’t say enough for their caring.” —the words of a current client of MOS, an 85 year old widow with no immediate family.
If you would like a pledge card and return envelope, contact Denise Avila, Manager of the Annual Fund, at (415) 292-9117, or see any officer – we will help you.
