FROM THE EAST September 2009
I hope this issue of The Chips finds you all happy and healthy. August was a bit of a lazy month with regards to lodge events and activities. As the heat of summer pressed down upon us, your line of officers prepared to make the move into our next chairs, and we all readied ourselves for what will surely be an exciting Fall. We will be hosting an Information Night on Thursday the 17th. So if you have any friends of family who are interested in the craft, please invite them down for a short presentation followed by a little "Q and A" and light refreshments. The evening kicks off at 7:30pm. In September, on the 1st, we will be taking on North Hollywood Lodge in the 1st Annual Hollywood/ North Hollywood Mini-Golf Tournament. Come one, come all, and help us beat down NoHo lodge (Masonicly speaking) and win back some of our pride for having lost the bowling tournament. The Job's Daughters will be hosting their picnic on Saturday the 26th, at 11:30AM. It will be at Los Encinos Historic Park located at 16756 Moorpark St, in Encino. Please bring a donation of children's pajamas for children awaiting adoption. Just as another reminder, Hollywood Lodge will be dark on Thursday October 1st, as the Wardens and myself will be in san Francisco attending the Annual Communication. Stated Meeting will be the following week on Thursday the 8th. Thank you all for your continued support Best, Russell M. Jaeger |
