FROM THE EAST May 2009
Greetings Ladies and Brethren, It pleases me once again to be greeting you from the East. Hollywood Lodge has once again had a great month. As we continue to fine tune the administrative side of things, I feel it necessary to give a great big THANK YOU to everyone who has, and continues, to pitch in, as, indeed, many hands make light work. In addition to “rebuilding the temple,” we have had a good time enjoying a little refreshment and repose... Once again, we had a terrific Stated Meeting Dinner. I do wish to apologize as I apparently got caught up with the announcements, and forgot to announce the “Member of the Month.” But fear not, that just means we get to have two in the month of May! Also this month, a group of about thirty of us went on down to China Town, and enjoyed a little dim sum. There was more food and fraternal fun than you could shake a chopstick at! Thanks to those of you who joined us, and for those who missed it, you’ll have a chance to join us on our next adventure as we gear up for the Progressive Dinner on May 16th. I would also like to once again congratulate Brother Spyros Pappas on his receiving the Hiram Award, for all of his hard work and his many contributions to Freemasonry in general and Hollywood Lodge in particular. Thank you for everything, Spyros. Thanks to all, Russell M. Jaeger |
