Master - August 2010

Dear Brethren,

August is already upon us. I find it amazing how fast the year is passing by. As the summer begins to fade into fall, I find myself continuing to wish the heat of the day would follow. Because of the popularity of the summer attire, we will hold onto the Hawaiian shirt theme until September to keep the members attending the Stated meeting a little more comfortable while we attend to your Lodge’s business. Please remember this is for Stated Meetings only. Degrees are to still be formal attire.

I wish to congratulate Brothers Barry Mann, Sheldon Mowre y and Mark Thie for their outstanding events. As we head into August, your officers are preparing to qualify for the next year and Masonic Formation is back again in full Swing as Brother T.J. Oliva and Aaron Cohen work to reconnect to our Apprentice and Fellowcraft members who have not completed their journeys to the Sublime degree and see if we can help them to progress or at least get back in touch with our Lodge.

The two big events this month, one, Brother George Fayle is hosting a mini-golf tournament. We had one several years ago and a great time was had and I look forward to meeting with long time members and new ones as well. Please bring your families and friends. The more the merrier. The other event to appeal to the more esoteric minded of the brethren is another of Brother Michael Pierce’s education dinners.

Whichever event meets your interest, (hopefully both) I look forward to seeing you in Lodge. Degrees continue to run weekly so I look forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Fraternally,

Arthur Melendez
