Master - April 2010

Greetings Brethren,

April looks to be a busy month. Starting with our Stated meeting on the 1st to handle Lodge Business. The Job’s Daughters Easter Egg Hunt at the Granada Hills Lodge Starting at 11:00 where we will be helping with free Child IDs. A First Degree on the 8th, Open on the Second Degree on the 15th and wrapping the degrees with a Third Degree on the 22nd. In between that we have 2 events on March 17th so plan to be busy.

April 17th gives you the option of 2 great events and if you plan your day well, you can make both of them! Starting with Lunch at the Sagebrush Cantina at 11:30 we all go around the corner to the Leonis Adobe Museum for a little historical fun. Tour starts at 1:00 and cost is 10.00 per person which includes parking and tour.

From there come home to Hollywood lodge because starting at 5:00 PM we have BBQ and a Bake off contest. Bring your best baked goods for judgment and win a prize. $10.00 per person or $6.00 if 9 or under covers a meal and entertainment. For the contest you must use 1 of 2 key ingredients, either Apple or Cherry. Good luck!

At the end of the month April 29th, we have 1 of our 2 Masonic Information nights. Starting at 6:30 we will have a information presentation and a light refreshment mixer afterwards to answer questions. Please bring everyone you know who may have an interest in Freemasonry to the event.

I wish to thank Worshipful Brother John Carter who has agreed to take on the Masonic Service Bureau chair position to represent our Lodge at those events. I also want to thank Brother Mike Karobonick for giving the symbolism lecture at the March Stated Meeting on the Square and the Compass.

If you want to get back in touch with your Lodge and just don’t know where to begin, call me directly at 818-635-0808 and we will figure iit out together. It may be that it is easier than you may think.

Fraternally,
