Junior Warden - September 2008

September brings us to another busy month as the kids return to school, summertime vacations are over and people are returning to work. The month of September is also going to be packed for Lodge business and activities as well.

We start out the month with our Stated meeting on the 4th, a trip to the Nethercutt Museum on Saturday the 6th, Child Id on the 13th, and we wrap with Constitution Night September 18th. In addition to that, Grand Lodge meets on the last weekend of the month and several brothers as well as the Master and Lodge Wardens will be in attendance.

By now your officers should have qualified for the Second degree and First Degree qualifications are planned for Saturday September 20. The Third and hardest Degree qualification scheduled in October. If everything goes as planned, we will make the cut for the ensuing year and all that will remain will be the formal approval of the Lodge that we proceed to our next stations. All line positions have been spoken for at this time but if you have interest in serving your lodge in an officer's capacity, please advise Brother Russell Jaeger. As positions become available in future years, having a pool of interested Brothers available also makes it easier to fill positions and keeps your lodge running smoothly.

I wish to thank all of you who have called in advance for your reservations for dinner. I am currently looking into a failsafe way to be able to provide for the brothers who show up with out calling in so no one will go away hungry. I have several ideas but may still be a month or two away from implementation. To ensure you are provided for when you come to the stated dinner, please call before Monday preceding the stated meeting and reserve your place. Please remember that children under 12 are half price and have a special table now with games and such appropriate to all age groups.

Fraternally,

Arthur Melendez
Junior Warden
