It is my sad duty to inform you of the passing of Marvin Perry Polak on Friday, May 9, 2008. He was also a member of Saddleback/Laguna Lodge #672.
The service will be held on this Thursday, May 15th at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Chapel, Geisler, Costa Mesa. The Masonic service will be held by the Brothers of Saddleback/Laguna Lodge #672. The officers and members of our Lodge extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Penny and his family.

We leave the Lodge at 8:00 a.m. (SHARP!) aboard an air conditioned bus, headed to the Santa Ynez Valley. We will enjoy games and goodies as we travel, and we will stop at three different wineries for tasting, a tour, and to enjoy a lunch that you will select from a delightful menu. We will return to the Lodge by about 6:00 p.m.
All of this for only $75/person – CHECKS ONLY please!
(Checks will not be deposited until the trip takes place to make it easier to refund money to anyone who gets ill at the last moment.)
We only have room for 40 people, so don’t wait. Friends, family – all are invited, but it’s first come, first reserved.
Contact Wor. Ted Schuman if you have questions or want to reserve a block of seats.
SIGN-UP SHEETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE STATED MEETINGS. FINAL DEADLINE IS MAY 15.
The Committee focuses on: Redesigning our Candidate Education program, Developing new ideas for a lifelong program of Masonic education for all members, Creating a new comprehensive framework to guide the development of new educational programs and materials for lodge use. Discussing new trends in Masonic education and what you can do to inspire and motivate new Masons in our lodge.
Come and take part in reshaping of our Lodge’s educational programs.
The tradition of charitable giving among Brothers of the Masonic fraternity has a long history in California. For more than 150 years brothers have been helping Brothers in need. Early on it was pretty much on an informal basis, but today our methods are much more sophisticated. We use regular mail, writing of checks, telephone, e-mails, credit/debit cards, etc. These are all ways to support Masonic charities.
Brothers, remember Masonic charities could not exist without YOU. They have no means to raise money except through our donations and support.
Many Brothers and their families may be having a tough time for any one of many reasons, i.e., loss of employment due to downsizing, exporting of jobs, or maybe the victim of the horrendous fires that have swept through Southern California recently.
Now is the time to step forward and recognize your duty and obligation to your friends and your fraternity. You can just mail your check to Grand Lodge, or phone in a credit/debit card pledge or go on-line to make your contribution. It's that easy! Now together Brothers.
Thank you for your support.
