  Ladies Corner

April was another great month in Masonry.

The Public Schools Night was very nice with Dr. Bruce Harter showing a slide show about the West Contra Costa School District and Principal Matt Wayne of Dover Elementary School bringing two of his students who read their essays about the field trip that was funded by the Lodge to our State Capital building last year.

The dinner honoring the 50-year members on April 15th was well attended and the dinner was great. Gloria Matthews always gives her all when it comes to fixing the meals, with her helpers Sue Lynn and Sandy Stanley. I for one say “Thank You all for such a fine meal and for the light meals for the guys on their practice nights!”

Jobs Daughter’s Bethel 15 had an initiation on April 12th, keep it going girls. If any of the Masons have a daughter, granddaughter, or niece that is 11‑years old and would like to join Jobs Daughters, please contact their Bethel Guardian, Kathy Fowler, at (510) 724-6804.

Eastern Star had a breakfast on April 6th and it was well attended. What a great way to start your day with a wonderful breakfast and it makes you feel really good to be helping the AREME Mission Bells make their budget. Thanks to all that come out to support us.

The June 1st Day at the Races tickets are still available.  For $30 you get a very nice buffet (that you can go through two times) and a parking pass. It’s a great day of fun. Call Connie Hastings for tickets at (510) 758-8007.

                                          Sincerely,

                                          Judy Dunham
